Pressing DTF Transfers on Cotton & Cotton Blends
For clean, durable results on cotton and cotton-blend garments, follow the steps below. Proper heat and pressure ensure your designs look great and last wash after wash.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Pre-Press

Temp: 315°F

Time: 10 seconds

Pressure: Medium

Purpose: Removes moisture and flattens fibers for a smooth surface.
2. First Press (Apply Transfer)

Temp: 315°F

Time: 12–15 seconds

Pressure: Medium to firm

Use a quality heat press. Irons are not recommended.
3. Cool Down

Let the garment cool completely before peeling the film (cold peel)
4. Final Press (Seal Press)

Temp: 315°F

Time: 12–15 seconds

Use parchment paper or a finishing sheet over the transfer.
